Who We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a Senior Manager of Programmatic Operations to be responsible for the strategy, setup, maintenance and optimization of all programmatic monetization channels and partners on owned & operated properties to drive revenue and yield growth.  This includes partners within header bidding, SSPs and exchange bidding for display, video and native advertising across desktop, mobile, tablet and OTT devices.

This role is a key partner to the sales team in educating and supporting them sell and grow Programmatic Guaranteed (PG), Private Market Place (PMP) deals and our in-house Publisher Trading Desk offering (DTX) with their agencies and direct clients.


What You'll Do:

  • Day to day management of programmatic ad sales, yield optimization, profitable audience traffic acquisition and yield reporting
  • Drive eCPM growth whilst focusing on inventory quality metrics such as viewability, fraud rate, time in view, CTR, ad blocking, conversation rates etc. and balancing ad density with user experience to optimize for sustainable revenue growth
  • Stay current on industry trends related to programmatic trading, train and support other internal stakeholders with appropriate guidance regarding those developments
  • Support sales in selling, maintaining and optimizing revenue from Programmatic Guaranteed, Preferred Deals & Private Auctions
  • Help identify clients spending in the Open Exchange that should be approached with proposals to grow spend with Digital Trends via other channels
  • Manage daily operations with demand partners in areas such as finance, compliance, technical issue troubleshooting and ingestion of data into our BI systems
  • Experiment and innovate with yield partners to maximize bid density and fill rates on Open Exchange inventory
  • Audit potential publisher partner/acquisition sites for current and possible yield opportunities and support onboarded partners with ongoing yield maximization support
  • Act as a company spokesperson at relevant industry events
  • Other duties as needed

What We Require:

  • College degree in Business, Computer Science or relevant major or equivalent education and experience
  • 5+ years experience in programmatic ad operations and yield optimization
  • A deep understanding of ad serving and programmatic technologies for display, video/OTT, native and emerging advertising channels
  • Extensive experience working with Google GAM360/DPF Premium
  • Experience working with various ad tech vendors and platforms, direct advertisers, agency trading desks, SSPs, DSPs, DMPs and/or CDPs
  • Proven knowledge of digital media and programmatic techniques for the buying and selling of media including deal types, auction dynamics and pricing strategies
  • Proven skills in problem-solving, follow-through issue resolution, attention to detail and prioritization
  • Comfort dealing with large data sets to uncover insights, opportunities and risks
  • Resourceful and responsive to continual change
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in an office environment
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines
